My Father Davy

My work is inspired by my late father Davy Dunne. His art continues to be enjoyed today and if can see it if you happen to visit The Leixlip House Hotel, The Castletown Inn Celbridge, St Mary's GAA Leixlip, O'Mara's Publichouse in Portumna. not to mention all the homes in the length and breath of the country with his paintings on the wall. A well known artist throughout North Kildare. He was founding member of the Anna Liffey Art Group and his work is part of the Kildare County Council Art Collection. In the last year I have visited a lot of Ireland and visited places that I feel I have seen before, often from the the collection of beautiful Irish landscapes I would have watched my father create in our shared studio in Leixlip at the time. He taught me to paint, inspired my creativity, encouraged me to exhibit and showed me how to frame a picture!! In 2005 I had the privileged to host an exhibition with my Dad titled Relfection's of a Father and Son.
